Our DNA

A Quick History

One Life began in a living room here in Newnan, GA during the fall of 2011. A core group of families began to gather on Sunday evenings to connect as a community of believers seeking a deep intimate time with the Holy Spirit. We discovered that hunger gains the attention of Heaven quickly. Before we knew it we were ministering to individuals in our community through the love and power of the Holy Spirit. Since 2011 we have been incorporated with the state of Georgia as non-profit and a non-profit 501-C3 with the federal government.

Our Gathering

We believe that when we gather we do so as a family on a mission. Our goal at One Life is to create an environment where we can come in out of the harsh conditions of day to day life, become healed, empowered, and released to be ambassadors of love to all who we encounter. We are all on our journey of discovering God, and we believe we are meant to do it together.
Our goal as a community is to magnify Jesus through our corporate worship and our lives that are demonstrated in view of others. During our gathering, you will experience a deep intimate time of worship, the move of the Holy Spirit, the body ministering in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and a time of teaching in the word.

A Heart for Community

We feel a deep conviction to serve our community through the practical and supernatural. We have a local outreach that serves the community with coats, food, and most importantly, ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe the love and power of God is the transforming grace to bring others into the kingdom. Our heart is not to get people to come to a church building but to encounter the “church” through us.  We intentionally look for ways to serve our city agenda free in hopes that they see the unconditional love of God through us. We do not believe we can do this alone. We encourage all of our community to connect to local outreaches and ministries to serve their vision for our city. Unity will be the catalyst to bring transformation.

What We Believe

The Word

We believe the entire bible is the inspired word of God. That men were moved by the spirit of God to write every word of scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

Our God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons; Father, Son, and Holy spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ (the Son of God) is the second member of the trinity who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the savior of the lost and broken.

Humanity

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but
became alienated through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only means for the forgiveness of sin. God freely offers salvation to those who place their Faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as payment for their sins.

Christian Life

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the word of God and daily yielding to the Holy Spirit and intimate relationship, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and loving others by making Him known to the lost and the broken.
